Our Story
One Flag One Africa (OFOA) emerged from the vision of Femi Akinbi, an Africanist and seasoned strategist in international trade, who has dedicated decades to understanding and addressing the complexities of Africa's global standing. This initiative was born from an acknowledgment of a critical reality: Africa remains fragmented in its approach to global systems, which ultimately undermines the continent's collective influence and diminishes its vast potential on the world stage.
Drawing inspiration from years of collaboration with African leaders, engagement with multilateral organizations, and deep connections within diaspora communities, Akinbi aims to unite Africa's diverse and often disparate voices.
The central mantra of this initiative, "One Flag, One Africa," encapsulates the ambition to forge a cohesive agenda that transcends national boundaries, enabling African nations to present a united front in global affairs. By fostering collaboration and solidarity among African countries, this initiative aspires to amplify the continent's impact and advocate for a more equitable position in international discussions.

Meet Our Founder
Femi Akinbi is a Nigerian-born international trade strategist, business advisor, public speaker, and unapologetic Africanist dedicated to advancing Africa's collective voice on the global stage. With over 30 years of experience, he has facilitated high-level trade delegations, policy dialogues, and strategic private sector partnerships across Africa and the diaspora.
One Flag One Africa was born out of the conviction that Africa’s true power lies in its unity. For too long, the continent has been spoken for rather than speaking for itself, fragmented into silos that weaken its global influence. He initiated this effort to unite Africa and its vast diaspora under one banner, one flag, so that our shared history, culture, and aspirations can be transformed into a collective strength.
This movement is not only about symbols; it is about building practical bridges in trade, business, culture, and diplomacy that ensure Africa’s growth benefits its people first. We are not waiting for opportunities; we are building them together. By uniting governments, the private sector, young innovators, and the diaspora, One Flag One Africa seeks to amplify Africa’s voice, reclaim its narrative, and shape a future that reflects the resilience, creativity, and leadership of its people. This is Africa rising with purpose, standing tall under one flag.
